Biography
Les Hunter. Les Hunter's work has been performed at Bates College, Tribeca Performing Arts Center, Artistic New Directions, St. Joseph's College, Theater for a New City, Jackson Rep, Galapagos, Siberia, Impact Theater, Bowery Poetry Club, Macalester College, Collective: Unconscious, and Brooklyn College. Mr. Hunter has written articles for American Theatre, offoffonline.com, The Stony Brook Statesman, Serf City, Comparative Drama, and The Loop. He is the recipient of the 2007 Foundation for Jewish Culture New Play Development Grant for To the Orchard. His screenplay Lion of the East was accepted to the "Dubai Film Connection" in the 2008 Dubai International Film Festival. MFA, Playwriting: Boston University. MA, English Ed.: Brooklyn College.
